Winter 2025

Looking for something more

Somewhere between photography, atmosphere and live music, something quietly began to change.

Concert light and atmosphere

At first, I thought I was simply building a concert photography portfolio.

I enjoyed capturing the artists. The lights. The energy. The moments between songs when something unguarded slips through.

But after every concert, I found myself thinking less about the photographs and more about the room itself.

Why did some venues immediately feel welcoming?

Why did some audiences seem completely absorbed, while others never stopped talking?

Why did some concerts stay with me for days, while others disappeared almost as quickly as the lights came up?

Slowly, I realised I was not only interested in photography anymore.

I was becoming interested in atmosphere.

The feeling a room creates before a note is played. The way lighting changes a conversation. The difference between hearing music and really listening.

I stopped looking only at the stage and started noticing the room.

Looking back, that was probably the first real step towards Indigo.

There was no business plan. No final concept. No clear idea of a listening room.

There was only a growing belief that live music deserved spaces where people came to listen first.

Everything that came afterwards — the playlists, the website, the Lounge — began with that shift in perspective.

See you in the Listening Room.
